We have a winner! After being nominated for the 2015 OMIG (Online Marketing in Galway) Group awards, Designer Media is delighted to be announced this year’s winner in their Best Website category for Vespa.ie
OMIG held its awards ceremony at The Town Hall in Galway and a fantastic night was had by all. Over 200 applications for awards were submitted for all award categories which, in addition to Best Website, included Best Blog, Best Social Media and People’s Choice Award.
Competition in the Best Website category was strong with a host of other nominees including Croi, the Digital Training Institute and Supermacs among others, all competing for the top spot. But after close assessment of all sites, the judges concluded that Vespa.ie was most deserving of this award and commended Designer Media for its creativity and design skills.
Following the announcement, Robert O’Halloran, Owner of Designer Media confirmed how thrilled he was with the award and expressed his surprise at the win considering the quality of his competitor’s websites.
The Vespa.ie website was designed for Bikeworld Ireland, a long-time customer of Designer Media. Bikeworld is Ireland’s leading distributor of motorcycle products with Vespa being one of primary brands. In 2014, the growing popularity of the Vespa range prompted Bikeworld to recruit Designer Media for the development of a stylish new site to promote the brand.
Vespa.ie is a fully responsive, mobile-friendly site, built using the ever-popular WordPress CMS. Visually, the site is very appealing and has been designed to engage users with high quality graphics and video to promote the Vespa brand, while keeping text to a minimum.
OMIG has been the west of Ireland’s champion for digital marketing for a number of years now. The group has done a remarkable job of promoting small businesses. Through the events and awards it runs, it facilitates networking and learning about how to use digital marketing to increase the success of small businesses.
Thanks OMIG, Designer Media is looking forward to next years’ awards already!
